Occasionally we will
push out software for Staff or Student devices using Windows built-in Software
Center.
This is a managed
location where we can distribute software remotely to target machines that can
be installed as required by staff. An example of this is the Adobe suite.
These steps can be
followed to install any software that is available to you on the Software
Center - if it shows for you as an option you do not need to ask us to install
it.
Press the start
button to open the Windows menu and search for Software
Center.

On the left, in the Applications tab, you can see any of the
installations that are available to you.
If you see an
install on one computer and not on another that's likely because the machine
it's not available on is not approved to have the software installed on.
An example of this would be staff-only software not
showing on a student-assigned computer, or a department-specific item not
showing on a device in a different department.

If the item you
require is available for download, simply click it and select Install.
The installation should
usually run silently in the background, and you can check the progress from
within the software center.
